3 September 2020Our new pups, Bailey a Golden Retriever, Cookie a German Shepherd and Hope a Golden Labrador, are just a few months into their 24 months of training to become someone's Guide Dog. Find out how they are getting on.
Bailey
Bailey has now mastered his ‘chin rest’ command which he’s happy to demonstrate everywhere, even on his pink teddy! This skill will be extremely useful when finding an empty chair on public transport for Bailey’s future guide dog owner.
Cookie
Cookie continues to enjoy her daily free runs and basking in the sunshine. Cookie happily goes down to the river but likes to stay by the edge of the water. She’s very sensible when it comes to water and doesn’t like her gorgeous fur getting wet!
Hope
Since lockdown, Hope has been practising skills within the home environment and has now resumed her training in supermarkets! She was an absolute star abiding to the social distancing rules and patiently waited for her Puppy Walker Helen to complete her shopping.
