Cardiff’s life science hub to be renamed in honour of the late Professor McGuigan
17 May 2016To commemorate the life of one of the UK’s leading scientists in anti-cancer drug research the life science hub in Cardiff Bay, is to be renamed the Chris McGuigan Hub. GX, along with 65 other member companies, regularly base themselves at the dedicated life science building at least once a week.
“Like many who knew Chris, we were saddened to hear that Chris had lost his battle against his cancer in March this year,” commented Mark Helmich, managing director for GX. “As the professor of medicinal chemistry at Cardiff University’s School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, he dedicated his life to specialist drug research so it is fitting to now dedicate Wales’ only life science hub in his honour.”
