GX to highlight their commitment to developing products for Patient benefit at Aneurin Bevan Conference
22 June 2015Visitors to this year’s annual Aneurin Bevan conference the Sixth Research and Development Conference due to be held on Tuesday, 23rd June at the Christchurch Centre in Newport will be able to view an innovative cartridge to collect samples and allow the analysis of the DNA content of those samples.
This specialist cartridge was designed and engineered by the biotechnical design engineering team at GX. In the process of designing a working prototype to analyse DNA on site, GX’s design engineers also developed micro fluidic consumable cartridges which were robust enough to perform a repeatable process, providing a reliable analysis of a sample collected from a the crime scene.
Attending the conference on behalf of GX will be Claire Banks, the business development manager and managing director Mark Helmich. “We are delighted to be involved once again,” comments Mark, “this year’s theme looking at research for patient benefit is one that we at GX continually strive for in all our product designs. We have over thirty years experience collaborating with healthcare partners to develop a range of medical products from a handheld plasma generator to more complex and intricate products including Thermal Cyclers.
