The Power of Three – GX sponsors three guide dogs for the blind
15 March 2016As product designers GX is more used to developing an engineered solution to help those with sight issues lead an active life; yet when the opportunity arose, in November last year, to sponsor a guide dog they quickly decided to sponsor not just one, but three lovable Labrador puppies.
GX chose to sponsor two female Golden Labradors; Goldie and Legend, along with an adorable male Black Labrador called Felix. In the past three months all the dogs have been housed with their trainers to undergo an intensive year of guide dog training.
Business development manager Claire Banks, who proposed the idea of supporting Guide Dogs, admitted it was hard to pick just one puppy to sponsor. “When we contacted Guide Dogs they suggested several dogs to sponsor, but they all looked so cute it was almost impossible to choose! We decided that by sponsoring three dogs we could help more people!
“So far, all puppies; Legend, Goldie and Felix, are getting on really well with their training and have been quick to master essential skills so we are hopeful they will all pass and become life-changing guide dogs. Our next update will be in June – so we promise to keep you all posted too!”
