Rapid Prototyping

Almost every project reaches a stage where there is a requirement for prototypes. Thanks to advances in technology and close relationships with our modelling partners we can complete these prototypes incredibly swiftly, to a quality that is virtually indistinguishable from the finished product.

They are so good that we often use them for initial marketing purposes or to gain valuable user feedback long before the final product goes into production.

The latest rapid prototyping techniques for product design

The rapid prototyping techniques we use include stereolithography (SLA), selective laser sintering (SLS), fused deposition modelling (FDM) and rapid metal casting (MPA 30). We can also machine parts directly from solid using both NC and laser milling. Multiple parts are often produced using vacuum casting techniques. We have also pioneered rapid injection mould tooling in conjunction with MEC at Cardiff University.
